Clinical Negligence Senior Associate

Your new company \n\nA highly regarded, specialist claimant law firm with a strong national reputation is looking to appoint a Senior Associate to join its expanding Clinical Negligence team. The firm is known for its client-centric approach and expertise in complex, high-value medical negligence claims, offering a collaborative and progressive working environment.\n\nYour new role \n\nYou will take a senior position within a well-established clinical negligence team, managing a caseload of complex, high-value claimant matters while supporting the wider growth of the department.\n\nYour responsibilities will include:\n\nManaging a caseload of multi-track clinical negligence claims from inception through to settlement or trial\nHandling complex matters including birth injury, brain injury, surgical error and delayed diagnosis claims\nDrafting detailed pleadings, witness statements and schedules of loss\nInstructing and liaising with medical experts and counsel\nConducting liability and quantum investigations\nNegotiating settlements in high-value cases\nSupporting and mentoring junior fee earners\nContributing to business development activity and maintaining strong client relationships\n\nWhat you'll need to succeed \n\nQualified Solicitor or Legal Executive (typically 6+ PQE, although applications from experienced candidates outside this range are welcomed)\nProven experience in claimant clinical negligence work\nStrong technical ability across complex, high-value claims\nExperience managing files independently and supervising junior staff\nExcellent communication and client care skills\nAbility to work effectively under pressure and manage competing priorities\nA proactive and commercially aware approach\n\nWhat you'll get in return \n\nOpportunity to join a growing, specialist claimant team with high-quality work\nCompetitive salary and bonus \nSupportive and collaborative culture with clear progression routes\nHybrid/flexible working arrangements\nComprehensive benefits package\n\nWhat you need to do now\n\nIf you're interested in this role, click 'apply now' to forward an up-to-date copy of your CV.
