About the Role


We are seeking a skilled Injection Moulding Setter to oversee the setup, adjustment, and maintenance of injection moulding machines. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring production runs smoothly, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.

The team works on a continental 4-On 4-Off, 12 hour shift pattern, which rotates days and nights.

Salary up to £43,416 (inclusive of 34% shift allowance) plus attendance bonus of £1170 per annum paid bimonthly. OT rate and 2x on Bank Holidays.


Key Responsibilities
  • Set up and operate injection moulding machines in accordance with production schedules and specifications.
  • Adjust machine parameters to optimise cycle times and product quality.
  • Conduct routine inspections and quality checks on moulded components.
  • Identify and troubleshoot machine faults or defects, implementing corrective actions promptly.
  • Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of moulding equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Maintain accurate production records and documentation for traceability and quality assurance.
  • Collaborate with the production team to meet daily targets and quality standards.
  • Assist in the changeover of moulds and set up new production runs efficiently.

Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Proven experience as an Injection Moulding Setter or in a similar role within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of injection moulding processes, machine operation, and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Knowledge of moulding machine controls and settings, including temperature, pressure, and cycle times.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Relevant technical qualifications or certifications in plastics technology or manufacturing.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Good organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
  • Team player with effective communication skills.
