ASB Officer – Social Housing

Roundshaw Estate (SM6) Full-time | 5 Days per Week (Office & Site Visits) £23.16 per hour  Immediate Start | Ongoing Temporary Role

We are currently recruiting for an experienced ASB Officer to join a leading Housing Association based on the Roundshaw Estate (SM6). This is an excellent opportunity for a confident and skilled professional to take ownership of complex cases and deliver high-quality enforcement outcomes.

Please note: Candidates MUST have proven experience as an ASB Officer – this is non-negotiable.

About the Role

As ASB Officer, you will play a key role within the Housing Management team, leading on anti-social behaviour (ASB) and tenancy fraud cases across the organisation’s housing stock.

You will manage complex cases from start to finish, take formal enforcement action where required, and represent the organisation in County Court proceedings, working closely with Legal and Housing teams to deliver customer-focused resolutions.

You’ll also provide expert support and guidance to Local Housing and Supported Housing Managers, helping to drive best practice across the service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a caseload of complex ASB and harassment cases from investigation through to resolution
  • Lead on formal enforcement action, including preparation for court proceedings
  • Represent the organisation in County Court, supporting witnesses where required
  • Investigate and manage tenancy fraud cases
  • Provide specialist advice, guidance, and case support to Housing colleagues
  • Work collaboratively with internal teams and external partners (local authorities, police, etc.)
  • Ensure excellent customer service while enforcing tenancy conditions
  • Contribute to policy development and promote best practice across regions

Essential Requirements

Proven experience as an ASB Officer within social housing Strong experience managing complex ASB/harassment cases end-to-end Experience preparing and presenting cases in County Court Solid understanding of landlord & tenancy law and its application Excellent communication skills – able to explain complex information clearly Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills Highly organised, proactive, and able to work independently Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for work purposes
